Deputy Transport Minister Kaltrina Zekolli Shaqiri held a meeting today at the Ministry of Transport with the working group for the Tetovo–Prizren road. The meeting was held with the Kosovo delegation in its new composition, led by Kosovo’s Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Zef Morina.

The discussions examined the administrative issues arising from the intergovernmental agreement, as well as the progress of both sides’ commitments. Attention was paid to the work on the ground and the completion of the technical documentation.
The delegations agreed on the concrete steps to be taken next to advance the project, particularly the launch of the tendering procedure for the design of the cross-border tunnel.
“We are fully committed to launching the tendering phase as soon as possible and advancing this strategic project through our shared commitment and mutual cooperation,” Zekolli Shaqiri declared.
The construction of the Tetovo–Prizren road envisages a new strategic corridor that will connect the infrastructure of North Macedonia with that of Kosovo, contributing to the strengthening of economic, trade and transport relations between the two countries.
