Xhuana Nikolli’s suicide attempt, ex-husband Eraldo Fizi turns himself in to police

Eraldo Fizi, the ex-husband of Xhuana Nikolli, has turned himself in to Lezhë Police after being declared wanted in connection with the death of the 25-year-old woman.

Fizi is suspected of bearing responsibility for the events that led to Nikolli’s suicide.

Xhuana Nikolli poisoned herself with fostoxin on the morning of March 10, 2026, at the rented home in Tirana where she lived. She was taken to hospital but later died at the University Hospital Center of Tirana (QSUT).

According to reports, at around 7 a.m., after her friend had left for work, Xhuana is suspected of ingesting fostoxin. She then called one of her sisters, who lived in England, and told her what she had done.

Family members have said that the previous night, on March 9, Xhuana had met with her ex-husband, Eraldo Fizi. They claim she was assaulted during the meeting. These are among the suspicions and accounts provided by family members, while authorities are investigating the full circumstances of the incident.
