Work Suspended at 12 Worksites in Five Municipalities by the Labour Inspectorate

The Central Labour Inspectorate has ordered the immediate suspension of activities at 12 worksites across the territories of Skenderaj, Mitrovica, Vushtrri, Prizren and Ferizaj, following the discovery of serious violations of occupational safety and health regulations.

These inspections were carried out as part of the regular monitoring conducted by the institution of compliance with labour laws and safety standards in workplaces.

According to the official notice, the inspections identified serious violations of legal provisions that posed a significant threat to the lives and well-being of workers.

As a result of the irregularities discovered, inspectors ordered work to be halted at all 12 locations, specifying that activities may not resume until the violations have been corrected and safe working conditions established.

The Central Labour Inspectorate clarified that work may resume only after inspectors verify that all legal obligations and safety standards have been met.

The Central Labour Inspectorate also announced that supervision would extend across all of Kosovo, warning that there would be no tolerance for violations that endanger the lives and health of employees.
