Who is Karyna Shuliak, the Belarusian dentist expected to receive $100 million and a 33-carat diamond from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate

A significant portion of the estate of American financier Jeffrey Epstein, who died in his cell in 2019, could go to Karyna Shuliak, a 37-year-old dentist originally from Belarus.

According to an investigation by The New York Times, she stands to benefit from up to $100 million, including a 33-carat precious stone.

The connection between Shuliak and Epstein is suspected to have lasted around eight years. Mention of this relationship also appears in files released by the U.S. Department of Justice. Newspapers report that Shuliak was the last person to speak with Epstein on the phone before his death in prison.

The American press indicates that they met in New York, when she had just turned 21 and had been living in the United States for only a few months. He called Shuliak his “favorite” and, according to reports, supported her in enrolling in the dentistry program at Columbia University, as well as in securing her residence documents in America.

It is also reported that Epstein had recommended she marry one of his victims as the fastest way to obtain U.S. citizenship. During their years together, the pair traveled to many countries around the world, while Shuliak is believed to have sent large sums of money to her family in Belarus.

Over time, Epstein handed her control of a portion of his assets, a fact that has fueled speculation that the dentist may be one of the main beneficiaries of an inheritance estimated at tens of millions of dollars. However, at this point, there is no official announcement regarding the final distribution of the estate.
