White foam covers the mouth of the Lepenc River into the Vardar, Gjorgjievski promises concrete measures against polluters

A white, unusual foamy mass has covered the area where the Lepenc River joins the Vardar in Skopje, creating a disturbing sight.

Accompanied by inspection teams, Orce Gjorgjievski, the mayor of Skopje, went to the scene and emphasized that although the intervention falls under the Ministry of Environment, the municipal authorities have already taken samples to identify the source of the pollution.

According to him, similar incidents of irresponsible behavior have been recorded in the past, but this time the situation will be followed by tangible measures.

Along the course of the Lepenc River, which originates from the territory of Kosovo, several companies operate that could be responsible for this phenomenon.
