Weather forecast for August 29, 2026: Temperatures to reach 41°C! Here are the hottest areas

Our country will continue to be affected by relatively stable atmospheric conditions today, while temperatures will reach high levels.

According to the weather forecast, light to moderate cloud cover is expected to develop around midday over the mountainous terrain in the eastern and southeastern parts of the country.

In these areas, the cloud cover may be accompanied by mainly light rainfall, while brief thunderstorms, also accompanied by lightning, cannot be ruled out in mountainous areas.

Meanwhile, temperatures will be extremely high. Highs are expected to reach 40°C in Tirana, Shkodër and Fier, while temperatures in Elbasan, Berat and Gjirokastër will climb to 41°C.

Winds will blow from the southeast to the southwest at an average speed of around 7 m/s. Along the coastline, mainly in the southwest, as well as in valley areas, the wind is expected to strengthen at times, reaching speeds of up to 14 m/s. Seas are expected to be at force 1–3 on the Beaufort scale.
