American forces have carried out a new wave of strikes on military installations in Iran, just one hour after the United States maritime blockade of Iranian ports and vessels came into effect.
A Washington official, cited by the Associated Press news agency, announced that military operations began without delay following the application of new restrictions at sea, signaling another escalation in the clash between the two countries.

In a prior notice, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) had stated that the maritime measure against Iran’s ports and ships was already effective. Some 20 warships and hundreds of military aircraft are positioned and currently operating in the Middle East region.
“U.S. troops remain on high alert, with lethal capacity and prepared for any scenario,” the CENTCOM communiqué emphasized.
These latest moves occur in a tense regional atmosphere, as the international community watches with concern the deepening crisis and the possibility of a broader conflict erupting.
