According to Krasniqi, the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure, together with a ruling by the Constitutional Court, stipulate that 72 hours must pass between the first reading of the law and its vote.
He said that holding the vote earlier would make the law procedurally unconstitutional. “The law cannot be voted on before Thursday morning (72 hours after the first reading), because the Assembly’s Rules of Procedure and the Constitutional Court’s ruling have made it clear that an earlier vote renders the law procedurally unconstitutional,” Krasniqi wrote.
Responding to the PDK, he said that, in order to make it to Thursday, the state must elect a president tonight. Krasniqi called on his opponents not to waste their breath and not to shout about voting on the law during the night.
“If you want elections, you’ll have to push your way in and burst!” he concluded his post.
