Taulant Balla, chairman of the Socialist Party’s Parliamentary Group, reacted following President Bajram Begaj’s decree dismissing Vlora Hyseni from her position as director of the State Intelligence Service.

In a post published on social media, Balla emphasized that the governing majority would continue to uphold its position of not interfering in or commenting on matters in the hands of justice.
“Our governing majority remains committed to the standard position of not weighing in on the merits of any justice case. Whoever they may be, they must face justice personally and hire their own lawyer. The Socialist Party, that is, the governing majority of this country, does not act as anyone’s lawyer,” Balla declared.
According to him, Hyseni’s dismissal was carried out, also in line with Prime Minister Edi Rama’s immediate announcement, with the aim of creating the opportunity to appoint a new head of the institution.
