Video/ Violent fight breaks out on flight from Bangladesh to London as two passengers clash

A physical altercation between two men caused fear and alarm on board a flight bound for London, where children and elderly passengers were also present.

The confrontation was recorded on Wednesday during a Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight from Sylhet, Bangladesh, to London. A video filmed by a passenger shows the two men hitting each other as nearby travelers watch in alarm.

In the footage, one of the men, wearing a black shirt, can be seen striking a passenger seated in the row behind him. The situation quickly escalates into a fight, during which the two men exchange several blows. At one point, one of their shirts is torn.

Uddin Alim, one of the passengers on the flight, described the incident as a “terrible situation,” noting that children and elderly people were also on board.

He said the other passengers had no involvement in the conflict but were forced to deal with the fear it caused. According to Alim, the concern was even greater because the fight took place on an aircraft thousands of meters above the ground, where no one could leave the scene.

Crew members intervened to put an end to the fight. A Biman Bangladesh Airlines spokesperson said the situation was “resolved” during the flight.

The cause of the conflict between the two men remains unclear. It is also unknown whether either of them was injured or faced any consequences after the plane arrived in London.

The airline has not released any further information about the incident.
