An explosion near a restaurant in central Moscow killed three people and injured 15 others. The toll was reported by the Russian state news agency TASS, citing official sources.
The incident occurred near a restaurant in Kudrinskaya Square and caused panic in the area. Following the explosion, numerous Interior Ministry forces cordoned off the scene, while emergency teams responded to assist the injured.

According to confirmation from the Russian Health Ministry, all those injured were taken to hospital and are receiving the necessary medical care.
Several Russian media outlets and bloggers claim that Alexander Chaiko, commander-in-chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces, was celebrating his birthday at the luxury restaurant near the scene. So far, however, there has been no official confirmation either of his presence or of any connection to the explosion.
