VIDEO/ Danger at Railway Crossing in Llopat, Kumanovo, as Barrier Fails to Work

Disturbing footage has emerged from the railway crossing in the village of Llopat, Kumanovo, where the lack of proper signage and the failure of the safety barrier could pose a serious risk to motorists and residents who use this route every day.

The video accompanying the report shows a train passing through the road intersection while the safety barrier remains raised, failing to block vehicles from crossing.

The situation is even more concerning because this road is used daily not only by residents of Llopat, but also by residents of the Municipality of Likovo, which has a population of around 30,000.

Without a functioning warning system and clear signage, motorists could find themselves facing a train just a few meters before the railway crossing, significantly increasing the risk of accidents with serious consequences.

Residents are calling on the Railway Directorate and the Ministry of Transport to intervene as soon as possible to make the barrier operational, install the necessary signage and fully secure the railway crossing before negligence ends in tragedy.
