Vandalism targets Charlie Kirk statue in Phoenix, perpetrators still unidentified

The statue of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk has been damaged at the headquarters of the Turning Point USA organization in Phoenix, Arizona.

Individuals who have yet to be identified covered the statue in red paint, while the same paint was also used on a commemorative poster placed next to it.

Turning Point USA announced that the monument would be restored and the damaged signs replaced.

The organization said it had begun reviewing security camera footage and was cooperating with authorities to determine the identity of those responsible.

“We will restore the statue and replace the signs, but we are also reviewing footage of the incident and working with law enforcement to identify who did this and hold them accountable,” the organization said in a statement.

The monument, standing approximately 2.5 meters tall, was installed on September 10 during ceremonies marking the first anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s killing.

Kirk was shot dead in Utah while attending an event organized by Turning Point USA.

The incident sparked widespread reactions across the United States and renewed attention to political violence and security at public gatherings.

The investigation into the vandalism in Phoenix is ongoing, while authorities are working to determine who was responsible.
