University of Prizren Welcomes Students from Different Countries to International Summer School

The “Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren has launched the fifth edition of its 2026 International Summer School, bringing students from around the world to the historic city of Prizren. The event aims to build bridges of academic and cultural cooperation among participants.

During this edition, students will attend six university modules. According to coordinator Rifat Morina, interest in the program has been exceptionally high, even though the school has been promoted mainly by former students rather than directly by the organizers.

Morina said that of the 300 registered applicants, around 200 students will take part in the fifth edition. For them, the experience offers an opportunity to exchange knowledge and become acquainted with new communities and cultures.

Student Jetlinda Gjona described her participation as a very positive experience. She said she had learned about the summer school from an Austria-based professor originally from Prishtina, who had encouraged her to apply.

For Zohal Holamajdera, a student from Tajikistan, this is her second time participating in the Summer School. She is taking a course on fake news, disinformation and artificial intelligence, topics she considers particularly interesting.

Muhammed Harun, a student from Sudan, also said that the program’s modules are primarily related to artificial intelligence. According to him, AI represents the future and will be present in every aspect and field of life, making it important to educate people about this technology regardless of their profession.

Alejna Kastrati, a student from Belgium, said she is enjoying her stay in Prizren and would like to return. She highlighted the new friends she has made, as well as the professors and courses, which she described as very good.

The Summer School program at the “Ukshin Hoti” University of Prizren will continue until August 14.
