Greek police have arrested two Greek nationals in Athens after they were caught in the act near a motorcycle parked outside a business in the city center, on suspicion that they were trying to steal it.

The incident was discovered while officers were patrolling the area. The two individuals were spotted near the motorcycle and stopped by police before they could leave with it.
The suspects initially denied involvement in any attempted theft. However, a check of the chassis number revealed that the motorcycle had been targeted in an attempted theft.
The authorities then notified the vehicle’s owner, who turned out to be an Albanian national. He told police that he had parked the motorcycle outside the business where he worked after it had broken down.
According to information published, the two arrested men had previously been detained by Greek authorities for similar offenses.
After their detention, they appeared before a court, which ordered that they remain in prison for 30 days.
