Two people have been charged by the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina on suspicion of committing the criminal offense of “Misappropriation in Office.”

The Serious Crimes Department, specifically the Unit for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption, has filed an indictment against the defendants R.N. and H.D., the prosecution said, Bota sot reports.
The indictment states that R.N. worked as a guard at the Kosovo Forest Agency’s Blinaj Forestry Unit in Lipjan from 2022 to 2026.
According to the prosecution’s suspicions, after retiring, he failed to return the official “Over/Under” hunting firearm, which belonged to the Kosovo Forest Agency.
The defendant H.D., who is identified in the indictment as a guard at the same unit from 2019 to 2026, is suspected of failing to hand in the official “Pump Action Shotgun” after being dismissed from his job.
The prosecution says these actions caused considerable financial damage to the Kosovo Forest Agency.
The prosecutor in the case has asked the court, following the trial and the submission and assessment of evidence, to find both defendants guilty and sentence them in accordance with the law.
Until a final court ruling, the suspects are presumed innocent.
