Trump accuses Democratic candidates ahead of midterms: They are extremely dangerous and support jihadists

The inauguration of the “Reflecting Pool” project in Washington was marked by Donald Trump’s attacks on Democrats. The US president used the occasion to deliver his final speech before Tuesday’s midterm elections.

The project involves the large artificial pool that reflects the monuments honoring George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

After the portion of his speech devoted to the pool, Trump turned to his political opponents, describing Democratic candidates as extremely dangerous. He claimed they support jihadists, the Muslim Brotherhood and other groups that, he said, are beyond imagination.

In criticizing their policies, which he called terrible, the president focused particularly on immigration and transgender rights.

Trump pledged that the country, American culture and its heritage would be protected for future generations. He added that people had fought for 250 years to make the country great and that some Democrats, whom he described as failures, would not be allowed to destroy it.

Then, listing what he presented as his achievements, Trump declared that they now had Greenland and thanked Denmark and Europe for it. He also insisted that he had fulfilled every promise he had made.
