Tragic accident in which a 7-year-old lost his life/ Appeals Court keeps director Petri Bozo in prison

The General Jurisdiction Court of Appeal has decided to reject director Petri Bozo’s appeal, thus keeping him in prison. Bozo had requested that his security measure be replaced with a more lenient one.

The serious incident was recorded on the morning of May 25 on the “Elbasan–Librazhd” national road, specifically in the village of Mengël, where the vehicle driven by the director fatally struck the minor in front of the “Sulejman Rranci” nine-year school.

That day, the victim had accompanied his sister to school together with his mother, while he himself attended classes in the afternoon.

Witnesses at the scene said that as the mother and son were heading to a nearby shop, the minor is suspected of having slipped from his mother’s hand and crossed into the path of Bozo’s car.
