A 15-year-old boy has died after being shot by his 11-year-old sister in a serious incident that has shocked the United States.

The incident occurred in the city of Edmond, where the Police Department received a call reporting gunfire in a residential area at around 4 p.m.
Upon arriving at the reported address, officers found the minor with no signs of life and gunshot wounds. Authorities immediately began working to determine the circumstances and identify the person responsible.
Investigators arrested the victim’s 11-year-old sister shortly before 1 a.m. the following day, police said.
The girl was transferred to a juvenile detention center and charged with second-degree murder.
As of September 11, authorities had not released further details about the case because minors were involved.
The reason that led to the use of the weapon against the 15-year-old remains unclear. Police and the Oklahoma District Attorney’s Office have provided no additional information on the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.
