Tragedy in Himara / While Trying to Restore Power After the Storm, Electrician Loses His Life

In the early hours of the morning, a tragic incident was recorded in Himara, where an employee of the Electricity Distribution Operator (OSHEE) lost his life while on duty.

The victim is a 55-year-old originally from Elbasan, who was sent to Himara to support field teams in repairing faults caused in the network. During the intervention, he suffered a fatal incident.

Initial suspicions are that the employee may have come into contact with electricity, but the cause of death will be determined only after the completion of investigations and technical expertise.

The police and the investigative team have immediately launched actions at the scene to document the circumstances of the accident, while authorities are expected to shed light on how this tragic event occurred. We recall that yesterday Himara and the coastal area of the country were hit by strong storms, causing material damage and faults in power lines.
