Three months after the fire at the apartment building opposite QSUT, reconstruction has still not begun and residents remain without a solution

Nearly three months have passed since the fire that destroyed the apartment building constructed by Armand Lilo opposite QSUT, but for dozens of families the situation remains just as dire. The building engulfed by flames, which burned with shocking speed, still remains without a concrete solution, while residents have yet to return to their homes.

After the major attention the incident received, Prime Minister Edi Rama publicly announced that the reconstruction of the building would be carried out by the construction firm Arlis Construction. However, although nearly three months have passed, not a single concrete step has yet been taken to repair the damage, and work on the building has not begun.

The families who had invested a lifetime of savings to secure an apartment continue to live in uncertainty, waiting for the promises made to be turned into action. For them, the fire took not only their homes, but also their peace of mind, security and the sacrifices of many years.

As residents still wait for an answer, the situation becomes even more paradoxical given that Mand Lilo continues his activity in the construction sector. While his companies take on new projects and apartments are sold at high prices, dozens of families still do not know when they will be able to return to their homes.

In cases where citizens lose the investment of a lifetime, responsibility cannot be closed with a media statement. Months have passed and the building continues to stand as a symbol of a broken promise, while residents continue to face the consequences of negligence. For them, time stopped on the day the flames reduced everything to ashes.
