They assaulted a 17-year-old in Fier / The prosecution sets security measures for the main figures in the conflict

The violence between minors, made public on social media, has led, at the request of the Fier Prosecution Office, to the imposition of the security measures “Arrest in prison,” “House arrest,” and “Admission to a psychiatric hospital.”

At the request of the Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Fier, and by court decision, the personal security measures of “Arrest in prison” were imposed on citizen L.L., “House arrest” on the minor K.G., and “Temporary admission to a psychiatric institution” on the minor in conflict with the law M.R., all suspected of committing the criminal offense of “Unlawful deprivation of liberty” as provided for under Article 110 of the Criminal Code, committed in cooperation.

As part of the ongoing investigation into criminal proceeding no. 1094 of 2026, which concerns the investigation of the violent incident committed against a minor and made public through social media, at this stage of the investigation, based on the identification of the persons involved in the incident and the actions carried out by them, facts have been established that have raised reasonable suspicion of the existence of the criminal offense of “Unlawful deprivation of liberty,” provided for under Article 110 of the Criminal Code, committed in cooperation. The facts established up to this phase of the investigation have dictated the need to impose personal security measures on the persons under investigation.

Given that minors are involved in these proceedings, the Prosecution Office calls on citizens, administrators of social media pages, and media outlets to avoid publishing, sharing, or republishing video footage or data that could lead to the identification of the minors involved in this incident, in compliance with legal obligations to protect their privacy, dignity, and rights.

The Prosecution Office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction in Fier will continue to inform public opinion of any further developments in the criminal proceedings, insofar as such information does not violate investigative secrecy, the rights of minors, and the procedural guarantees provided for by law.
