There had been incidents, so I installed cameras”: Security expert spots detail that casts doubt on Adi Hila’s account

Composer Adi Hila’s statement that cameras in his studio were installed for security reasons after previous incidents has been called into question by security expert Fatjon Softa.

Hila told police officers that he had installed the cameras to protect the studio. He also claimed that intimate footage circulating online may have been obtained after someone gained access to the system. According to Hila, the cameras were installed after incidents at the studio.

But the positioning of one of the cameras is the detail Softa focused on. Speaking on “News24 Fundjavë,” he distinguished between a security camera and a camera installed for other purposes, noting that in this case it was pointed at the bed rather than an area that would normally need monitoring to protect property.

“Security cameras must be distinguished from hidden cameras. The latter are installed to gather information illegally. In Adi Hila’s case, the camera was pointed at the bed, not the safe, which raises questions about its purpose,” he said.

According to Softa, the fact that intimate footage was obtained from the camera is not enough on its own to establish why the device was installed, but its positioning raises questions that the investigation must answer.

“The fact that we have intimate video footage shows that the purpose of installing the cameras was different from security,” he added.

The expert also addressed the possibility of hacking. If the footage came from a camera system, he said, investigators must determine how the system was accessed and whether anyone interfered with it. Camera footage is usually kept in an archive, so the investigation must establish where it was stored and how it was taken from there.
