The verdict against Murseli reveals details: “If anything happens to Liridona, the insurance policy has been paid

The full verdict against Naim Murseli, who was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Liridona Ademaj, has been made public. The document presents the evidence, testimony and circumstances on which the court based its conclusion that the crime had been planned and organized.

Journalist Qëndresa Tërshani, who followed every court hearing in this serious case, said on the program “Kosova Today” that the 124-page verdict was drafted by presiding judge Fatime Dërmaku.

Tërshani said it was now certain that the case would proceed to the Court of Appeals, as the parties had announced that they would appeal after studying the verdict and the judge’s reasoning for sentencing Naim Tërshani to life in prison and Kushtrim Kokalla to 30 years in prison.

According to her, one of the most important elements of the decision is the way it presents the background to the commission of the gruesome crime.

The journalist emphasized that the verdict describes not only this background, but also Naim Murseli’s reactions and the moments when he contradicted himself.

Explaining what the document contains, Tërshani said that, because of problems and a troubled relationship within the couple, Murseli had paid for an insurance policy. According to the verdict, the strong desire and resentment he felt in connection with the relationship had increased his desire to kill Liridona.

She also revealed that he had mentioned that, if anything happened to Liridona, the insurance policy had been paid.
