The Hague awaits verdict for former KLA leaders, with officials, family members and diplomats in attendance

Attention is focused on The Hague, where the first-instance verdict in the case against former KLA leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi is expected to be announced on Wednesday.

After a judicial process that lasted several years, the verdict of the trial panel is expected to be followed with great interest in Kosovo, in The Hague and beyond.

The Government of Kosovo has announced that the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, as well as the Minister of Labour, Family and Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation War, Andin Hoti, are expected to attend the hearing.

The spokesperson of the Government of Kosovo, Arlind Manxhuka, confirmed this information to RTK. According to the data, Konjufca and Hoti will follow the announcement of the verdict from the gallery of the Specialist Chambers.

Meanwhile, family members of the accused have arrived in The Hague, together with numerous citizens from Kosovo and the diaspora. They are expected to take part in the gathering announced for tomorrow, as well as to be present on the day of the verdict announcement.

Interest in the hearing is also high among representatives of the international community. A considerable number of diplomats are expected to follow the proceedings closely on Wednesday.

Journalists and television crews from Kosovo and other countries have also travelled to The Hague to report live on the moment of the verdict announcement.

The Dutch capital is thus expected to be at the centre of attention, as Wednesday could mark one of the most important moments of the judicial process against the former KLA leaders.
