The constitutive session of the Assembly will continue on September 9

Avni Dehari, who is chairing the Constitutive Session of the Assembly, announced that proceedings will resume on September 9 at 11:00 a.m.

Dehari made the decision even though, according to him, it is still not fully clear whether the required number of lawmakers has been secured to constitute all the institutions.

“Although it is still not fully clear whether the necessary number of lawmakers exists to constitute all the institutions, I have decided to convene the continuation of the Constitutive Session on September 9 at 11:00 a.m.,” Dehari wrote.

He described the agreement reached between the Vetëvendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo as a positive development.

At the same time, Dehari called for the political agreement to be followed by concrete responsibility and a willingness on the part of lawmakers to fulfill their constitutional obligations by the appointed date.

“Until then, I expect this agreement to be accompanied by concrete responsibility and a willingness among lawmakers to fulfill their constitutional obligations,” he said.

In conclusion, Dehari stressed that Kosovo does not need another delay, a new political crisis and, least of all, a new election process.
