Tetovo, three active fires in open areas

Three fires are currently active in open areas across the territory of Tetovo, while teams from the Territorial Firefighting Unit are working to address the situation. The fires are located in the villages of Leshnicë and Pallaticë, as well as along the regional road between Strimnicë and Çellopek.

Avni Ameti announced the news in a social media post, in which he urged citizens to show greater caution and responsibility, especially amid the high temperatures.

According to Ameti, although appeals for caution have been repeated continuously, firefighters continue to deal with fires believed to have been caused by individuals’ negligence.

“We have the strength, courage and commitment to confront every fire. We will always be in the field and do everything possible to protect citizens and make residents feel safe,” Ameti wrote.

He stressed that no firefighter’s life should be put at risk because of another person’s negligence.

Ameti concluded his message by calling on citizens to act with greater responsibility and caution in order to prevent the spread of fires.
