The British gas market has also seen a strong surge, reaching a new quarterly record. In addition to supply constraints, this trend has been fueled by increased energy consumption in Europe, due to high temperatures that have significantly raised the use of cooling equipment.
Analysts warn that a continuation of the tense situation in the Middle East could keep energy prices under constant pressure in the coming weeks.
