Besnik Tahiri, head of the Alliance parliamentary group, has called for the Kosovo Assembly to hold a parliamentary debate on the state of the energy sector, high prices and difficulties with electricity supply.
After a meeting of the Assembly Presidency, Tahiri announced that it had been agreed the debate would take place next week, not this week.

He said failures in the sector warranted discussion because Kosovo is buying electricity at the highest price in the Western Balkans, while the B1 unit, which he described as the most important, is out of service. Tahiri also said that most cities in Kosovo are in the dark today.
The next session of the Kosovo Assembly is scheduled for Thursday at 12:00.
Among the items proposed for the session are the first readings of the Draft Law on the Emergency Management Agency, the Draft Law on the Agricultural Census and the Draft Law on the Central Inspectorate of Agriculture, Food Safety, Veterinary Services and Forestry.
Lawmakers are also expected to consider the Auditor General’s report on the audit of Kosovo’s 2025 budget. The agenda also includes proposals from the parliamentary groups of LVV, PDK and the Serbian List to replace or appoint lawmakers to parliamentary committees.
