Acting Minister of Internal Affairs Xhelal Sveçla held an introductory meeting today with Antero Lopes, the new head of the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), congratulating him on taking up his new post.

According to a media release, during the meeting Sveçla expressed his gratitude for EULEX’s continued contribution and cooperation with Kosovo’s institutions.
The minister also praised the mission’s support during the excavations carried out at mass graves in Zubin Potok.
Sveçla and Lopes also discussed the need to strengthen cooperation between Kosovo’s institutions, EULEX and other partners.
The acting Minister of Internal Affairs reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the rule of law, while underscoring the importance of further expanding cooperation.
