Suspect Arrested Over Threat Against Ramush Haradinaj

The person suspected of threatening former Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj was arrested tonight.

The arrest was confirmed by Flora Ahmeti, a police spokesperson for the Pristina region.

Ahmeti said the suspect was arrested by the General Investigations Unit within the Pristina Regional Police Directorate. According to her, procedural steps against him will be taken in coordination with the State Prosecutor.

The person detained by police is reported to be Skender Llugiqi.

The case concerns scandalous calls made today by an emigrant on the premises of the Assembly of Kosovo, who called for former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj to be executed by firing squad.

Meanwhile, the Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina announced that the on-duty prosecutor from the General Department had authorized the Kosovo Police, specifically the General Investigations Unit, to identify the suspect and take urgent action in the case.

According to the Prosecution Office, the necessary investigative steps are being carried out in coordination with the Kosovo Police to fully clarify the circumstances of the case.

Alliance chairman Ardian Gjini also reacted to today’s statement against Ramush Haradinaj in the Assembly of Kosovo. He described it as a serious act and a manifestation of a narrative cultivated over the years.

Gjini said the calls for fratricide heard in the Assembly were not incidental, but the result of a propaganda platform built over more than a decade.
