Starmer’s Farewell from Downing Street: I Leave Proud of Our Achievements

Amid ovations from supporters gathered outside the seat of the British government, Keir Starmer has left Downing Street.

In his closing statement, he said he leaves office with a sense of peace and pride for everything accomplished during his government. He emphasized: “I leave calm and with a smile on my face, proud of all our successes.”

Immediately after his speech, Starmer expressed gratitude to his wife, family members, collaborators in the Labour Party, Downing Street staff, and the state administration.

Referring to his successor, Andy Burnham, he confirmed his unconditional support and wished him well. “Politics will always remain a team game,” Starmer stressed, as he thanked the British people for the honor of allowing him to serve.

At the end of the farewell ceremony, he departed by vehicle heading towards Buckingham Palace.
