Specialist Chambers issue guidance for journalists and others who will follow the judgment in the “Thaçi and Others” case

The Kosovo Specialist Chambers have asked everyone registered to attend the delivery of the judgment in the “Thaçi and Others” case to arrive earlier at the Specialist Chambers’ headquarters.

The hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m., at the Specialist Chambers’ building in The Hague.

Those who will follow the proceedings from the public gallery or the media center, namely the press room, must report to the entrance designated for the public, which is located in the central part of the building.

A notice sent to those interested in attending states that entering the building may take time because of the large number of visitors and media representatives expected to follow the hearing. It also refers to media reports about calls for a large number of people to mobilize and travel to The Hague on September 15 and 16, 2026, while clarifying that Dutch police will be present outside the building.

According to the Specialist Chambers’ instructions, everyone who goes to follow this event must bring the valid identification document used for their registration.

The Specialist Chambers have also asked registered individuals to notify them in good time if they are unable to attend, so that their place can be made available to someone else.
