Special Court: Kadri Veseli was tasked with identifying Serbian collaborators in Kosovo, most of whom were killed!

The trial panel at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague has found that Kadri Veseli contributed to implementing what the court describes as a “common criminal purpose” and was one of the key members of the Kosovo Liberation Army in carrying it out.

According to Judge Charles Smith, Veseli acted together with the other accused in implementing this purpose, took part in committing the crimes and encouraged their commission.

According to the trial panel’s findings, Veseli was head of the Intelligence Directorate, whose primary responsibility was identifying and neutralizing people suspected of being collaborators.

The court found that Veseli, together with other individuals, appointed loyal people to key positions to implement their plan, while many of these individuals, according to the court, either committed crimes or were aware that they were being committed.

According to the trial panel, Veseli was personally involved in implementing the common purpose and identifying opponents, most of whom, according to the court’s findings, were killed.

The trial panel also found that Veseli was aware of the harm inflicted on opponents, the unlawful arrests and the mistreatment.

According to the court, he actively participated in and encouraged these actions, as well as directing the organization responsible for detaining, mistreating and killing opponents.
