Sinani: LDK Will Not Join Kurti in Government Without a Balanced Agreement

Vetëvendosje Movement leader Albin Kurti and Democratic League of Kosovo leader Lumir Abdixhiku have met twice as part of efforts to establish new institutions.

Even after these meetings, the parties have not announced any concrete results and have yet to reach an agreement.

LDK member Blerim Sinani told “Bota sot” that his party is seeking a comprehensive and balanced agreement that would ensure institutional stability and take into account the political weight of both sides.

Sinani said the path toward an agreement remains open if there is political will and a readiness to compromise. He stressed that citizens need functioning institutions, but not under any circumstances or at any cost.

“The LDK has insisted on a comprehensive and balanced agreement that guarantees institutional stability and respects the political weight of each side. Without such an agreement, it would be in the interest of neither the LDK nor Kosovo.

“I believe there is still a possibility of reaching an agreement if all sides demonstrate political will and are prepared to compromise. Ultimately, citizens expect functioning institutions, but not at any cost. The agreement must serve the state and be based on respect for the partnership between the parties,” he said.
