Shqipe Mehmeti Selimi, the wife of Rexhep Selimi and a member of parliament for the Vetëvendosje Movement, reacted after a march held today in Pristina against the guilty verdict handed down by the court in The Hague against former KLA leaders.
She expressed her gratitude to the citizens who joined the mass protest in support of the KLA.

Selimi recalled that the student protest of October 1, 1997, marked a moment when the students’ voices became the voice of freedom, linking it to today’s call for justice.
“October 1 takes us back to the 1997 student protest, when the students’ demands became the voice of freedom.
Today, I am grateful to everyone who took part in the march to defend the KLA and the truth about our war of liberation.
