Shocking: Well-known Mexican influencer shot dead while livestreaming on social media (VIDEO)

A well-known Mexican influencer was shot dead while livestreaming on social media near a restaurant in the city of Culiacan, northwestern Mexico.

The victim was Cesar Gastelum, who had nearly 600,000 followers on TikTok and was known for his humorous videos.

According to local media, Gastelum was outside a fast-food restaurant with his friends when two people wearing helmets and riding a motorcycle approached the group.

Footage from the livestream shows the moment the motorcycle rider pulls out a gun and shoots the influencer several times at very close range, killing him at the scene.

The incident occurred at a time when Culiacan, the capital of the state of Sinaloa, continues to face a high level of violence due to clashes between rival criminal groups fighting for control of the territory.

In the same city, in May 2025, influencer Valeria Marquez was also killed during a TikTok livestream, in an attack suspected of having been ordered by a cartel leader for personal reasons.
