Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul gave official confirmation of the casualty toll, specifying that 27 people lost their lives, while the injured are receiving treatment at area hospitals. The Thai government chief stressed that authorities are investigating the cause of the incident as a priority, which for the moment remains unknown.

Emergency crews reported that the flames were brought under control and fully extinguished, but investigators warn that the death toll could rise, considering that some of the injured are fighting for their lives in critical condition.
