Shocking Footage from Megara: Three Horses Try to Escape the Flames in Greece

The situation on the wildfire front in Megara remains alarming, as the flames spread through the Kandili area and toward Agia Skepi in Greece.

Cameras captured a dramatic scene in which three horses, two adults and a younger one, could be seen running in fear through the smoke and flames. The animals fled in panic as they tried to escape the rapidly approaching fire.

A large number of firefighters have been deployed to battle the powerful blaze in Megara. Crews are concentrating their efforts in the Agios Nektarios and Kandili areas, aiming to stop the flames from advancing toward the shooting range and other residential areas.

The risk of the fire spreading has prompted authorities to order residents of Skepi, Kandili and Botsika to evacuate. The alert was sent through the 112 emergency system, with residents instructed to head toward Nea Peramos.

The fire remains active, and crews on the ground are continuing their efforts to contain the damage, ensure residents’ safety and protect property.
