Sela and Aziri Meet with Kurti in Pristina, Political Developments and the Rights of Albanians in Focus

The chairman of the Albanian League, Ziadin Sela, together with the chairman of the party’s Assembly, Elmi Aziri, held a meeting today in Pristina with the acting prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.

The discussion addressed political developments in Kosovo, North Macedonia and the region, as well as the challenges facing both countries. The meeting also covered issues of national importance and topics related to the interests of citizens in Kosovo and North Macedonia.

Ziadin Sela stressed that the establishment of institutions is essential for continuing the important processes awaiting Kosovo, both in terms of domestic developments and on its path toward integration. In this context, he welcomed and encouraged dialogue with the opposition, as well as the political and state-building maturity of the political parties.

Part of the discussion focused on the political situation in North Macedonia. The chairman of the Albanian League conveyed to Kurti his concerns about efforts which, according to him, seek to further undermine the few collective rights that Albanians have in North Macedonia, including the Law on Fair and Adequate Representation.

Sela also inquired about the progress of infrastructure projects, particularly the Skopje-Blace road and the Tetovo-Prizren route.

The Euro-integration process was described as decisive for the future of our countries and as the only path, with no alternative. According to the joint assessment, strengthening cooperation between the parties will help facilitate and accelerate this process./INA/
