Seizure of Belinda Balluku’s luxury villa, Klodiana Lala “breaks down” the connection to Arbër Abazi

SPAK seized a new villa in the Palasa area owned by Belinda Balluku. Journalist Klodiana Lala links the property to the name of entrepreneur Arbër Abazi, against whom SPAK has filed corruption charges.

According to data made public by Lala, in the documents and order sheets of the company Aleko Imex, which supervised the works, the company’s architect noted in several instances the designation “swimming pool Arbër Abazi + Balluku” when ordering materials for the pool.

According to journalist Lala, Arbër Abazi cohabitates with a relative of Belinda Balluku. This element, according to her, raises questions about a possible conflict of interest, given that a company linked to family members allegedly benefited from tenders.

“The second moment that links it to Arbër Abazi has to do with the fact that when they go to pick up the pool materials, the architect of the company Aleko Imex that supervised the works is noted on all the sheets or where the order was placed as ‘swimming pool Arbër Abazi+Balluku.’

Arbër Abazi cohabitates with a relative of Belinda Balluku. This also speaks to the conflict of interest that Mrs. Balluku has in this specific case, because she has fed tenders to the company of a family member of hers,” Lala stated on NeWs24.

As for Igli Tare, the journalist said that, “according to SPAK, he invested a portion of the investment due to the friendly connection they have.”

“This corrupt enterprise worth millions of euros extends higher than the deputy prime minister. Balluku could not have acted alone, as no official of the Socialist Party can make such decisions with financial weight without the approval of Prime Minister Edi Rama. In the investigation files there are messages where the prime minister’s name is mentioned, instructing Balluku to meet with certain businessmen. On this basis, SPAK should at minimum question Edi Rama regarding his role in the Llogara tunnel tender,” Lala said.
