Security measures increased in front of the Government with metal barriers awaiting The Hague decision

Less than an hour before the start of the court session in The Hague, where the verdict for the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army will be announced, many citizens have gathered in the squares of Pristina.

Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Rexhep Selimi and Jakup Krasniqi will learn the verdict of the trial panel after a judicial process that has lasted more than five years.

In Pristina and other cities of Kosovo, security authorities have taken measures so that citizens’ gatherings take place in an orderly manner.

In “Skënderbeu” square in Pristina, the Kosovo Police have taken positions near the Government building, while metal barriers have also been placed in front of the building.

Awaiting the verdict, many citizens have gathered in the capital, while developments from The Hague are expected to be followed with great interest throughout Kosovo.
