Applications for seasonal flu vaccination are now open through the “My Appointment” electronic system, while the immunization campaign in North Macedonia is expected to begin on Monday.

So far, 30,000 vaccine doses have been secured. Another 26,000 are expected to arrive by November 15, while health authorities aim to secure a total of 80,000 doses for this season.
Vaccination will be organized according to medical priorities. Priority groups include people over 65, people with chronic illnesses, pregnant women, health workers, and children aged six months to five years.
Authorities are also expecting a supply of new BCG vaccines, which protect newborns against tuberculosis. The doses, procured through UNICEF from a Japanese manufacturer, are expected to arrive within a few days.
The previous supply of BCG vaccine was temporarily suspended as a precaution after four cases of osteomyelitis in children were reported in Croatia.
