As part of a protest against the political class, activists and protesters gathered along the pedestrian street leading to the Parliament building, where they awaited the MPs’ arrival.

The perimeter around Parliament was cordoned off by police with metal barriers. Tensions ran high, with eggs thrown at Socialist Party MPs and their vehicles.
Published footage shows Socialist MP Sara Mila walking with a bodyguard, who tried to protect her from eggs thrown in her direction.
As the MP passed by, activists and protesters shouted accusations and slogans at her, calling her a “crime MP.”
Eggs were also thrown at the cars of several ministers and representatives of the ruling majority. Meanwhile, the area in front of Parliament remains under heightened security.
