Sadiku accuses LVV of institutional obstruction: They are aiming for the December 27 elections

Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP Ermal Sadiku has reacted to the Vetëvendosje Movement’s (LVV) decision to support candidates from opposition parties for the posts of deputy speakers of the Assembly.

He said LVV’s actions are keeping the institutional process blocked with the aim of sending Kosovo back to the polls during the winter, specifically on December 27.

“VV has now decided to vote for the deputy speakers from the other parties. As I have been saying for two months now, they are going to send us back to elections in the winter,” Sadiku wrote on Facebook.

According to the LDK MP, the decision taken today on the deputy speakers is directly linked to the effort to reach the aforementioned election date.

“They determined the date they mentioned, December 27, with today’s decision. Sixty days plus 45 days take us precisely to December 27,” he said.

Sadiku accused the ruling party of delaying the constitution of the Assembly and exploiting the situation for party interests.

“So, all this obstruction, all these games with the Assembly, all this stalling, are solely aimed at reaching the date they have planned,” he wrote.

He also criticized LVV over its relationship with the Constitution and the impact it allegedly has on institutional stability.

“A party that violates the Constitution three times just to reach an election date. A party that does not want stability. It wants chaos,” Sadiku said.

In conclusion, the LDK MP warned that LVV could face political consequences for these actions.

“You will meet your political end. The people will not forget these games you have played with the state,” he concluded.
