Roma and Egyptian communities in Korçë seek support for employment and legalizations

Representatives of the Roma and Egyptian communities in Korçë raised their concerns during a meeting with local institution leaders and officials. The issues discussed included legalizations, education, employment and the protection of traditional crafts, while greater institutional commitment was requested to address them.

Difficulties entering the labor market remain a significant problem, particularly for members of the Egyptian community, who called for more employment and integration opportunities.

In response to the requests, Korçë Regional Council Chairman Petrika Tollkuçi assured them that the institution he leads would provide support in addressing the issues raised.

Representatives of other local institutions also took part in the discussion. The meeting aimed to review the concerns and identify concrete solutions to support the Roma and Egyptian communities in Korçë.
