Robert Bosch attacks the Specialist Chambers: “The court served Serbian interests very well, knowingly or unknowingly

The Dutch ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, has reacted to the latest decision by the Specialist Chambers in The Hague concerning Kosovo’s former president, Hashim Thaçi, and the other people involved in the proceedings.

He described the decision as “scandalous,” arguing that no evidence linking Thaçi to the crimes for which he was tried was presented during the trial.

“Scandalous. There is no evidence that Thaçi had anything to do with the so-called crimes,” Bosch told Bota sot.

According to the ambassador, the way this court operates raises serious questions, while he claims that its decisions have served Serbia’s interests.

“This so-called Kosovo court served Serbian interests very well, knowingly or unknowingly,” he said.

Bosch also accompanied his reaction with a comparison to developments in Serbia, where, according to him, people responsible for crimes continue to hold positions at the highest levels of the state and military.

“In Serbia, those responsible from the current government and the leaders of the armed forces are still in power,” the ambassador wrote.

He also criticized the way witnesses were treated, including important Western officials, claiming that their statements were not taken into consideration by the court.

“The court ignored the witnesses, including extremely important Western officials. The arrogance is beyond words,” Bosch said.

The Dutch ambassador’s reaction was made public at a time when the Specialist Chambers’ decision concerning former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army has triggered numerous reactions in Kosovo and abroad.
