Acting Minister of Economy Artane Rizvanolli has stated that the acting Government is not against American gas, but has chosen the cheapest alternative for citizens.
In a video published on Facebook, she rejected claims that Kosovo has decided to give priority to importing gas from countries in the region instead of domestic electricity production or American gas.

Rizvanolli also stressed that Kosovo pays the lowest electricity price compared with the countries of the region.
“On the contrary, we have chosen coal, renewable energy sources such as wind and solar, cogeneration for district heating, and energy efficiency.
This combination is based on domestic resources and is the cheapest for our citizens and businesses. Secondly, it is not true that the Government of Kosovo is ‘against’ liquefied natural gas from the US (LNG), as has been claimed,” she said in the video she shared on Facebook.
