Thousands of students, supported by many citizens, have been facing state violence in the square for 13 days. The alarming toll includes dozens injured, among them young people, lecturers, journalists and MPs.
Despite the terror, the students will not withdraw until Prime Minister Rama steps down. They announced that they will gather again today at 2:00 p.m. in front of the Ministry of Education.

There were also tensions between protesters and police during Saturday’s nationwide protest and yesterday.
High-resolution cameras have been installed on the terrace of the Prime Minister’s Office, enabling the monitoring of protesters and the identification of people taking part in the gathering.
The protesters initially gathered at the Ministry of Education, which they pelted with stones, and then began marching toward the Prime Minister’s Office. After gathering below the prime minister’s office, the protesters broke the chairs bearing the invitation to dialogue and then set them on fire. They also attacked the Parliament Presidency.
Meanwhile, the police fired tear gas at the protesters. After dispersing the crowd with tear gas, police officers clashed with the media present on the boulevard.
