Rama’s resignation demanded / 115 days of resistance! Citizens return to the square in protest against the government: Albania calls for revolution

The 115th protest against the government and Prime Minister Edi Rama is being held today in Tirana. Today marks 115 days of resistance, revolt and defiance.

The 115th protest is expected to continue in the same format, with citizens gathering, activists delivering speeches and then marching through the streets of Tirana.

In recent days, protesters have again chanted slogans such as “Rama, resign,” “Your end has come,” “Arrest Rama” and “Albania is making a revolution.”

Protesters have also held up banners bearing messages against corruption and calling for a change in the way political representation is organized.

One of the messages repeated during the marches has been “Join us, students; the nation is calling us,” while protesters have called for the broadest possible citizen participation.

In recent days, activists have also raised other political issues during their speeches, including the 2008 constitutional amendments, the system of representation in Parliament, Territorial Reform, protected areas, the Mountain Package and strategic investments.

Meanwhile, the organizers have called for the protests and marches in the capital to continue.

According to them, the daily resistance will continue in the days ahead, while the demand for the prime minister’s resignation remains at the center of the gatherings.
